This charming loft sits in the heart of the Jewish Ghetto, on Portico D’Ottavia.

The apartment is on the 1st floor of a fifteenth century building with a lot of charm (the building doesn’t have a lift). The dining room has a large black glass table with chairs and paintings.

The open-kitchen, next to the dining room, is well-equipped with a fridge, a freezer, an oven, a gas stove, a dishwasher and a washing machine. Why not use this space to cook up a delicious meal for you and your guests before heading to the dining space to enjoy it in the comfort of your own home?

An original stone arch divides the dining room from the living room. The living room has comfortable black sofas, a coffee table and a laptop. This is the perfect place to relax after a long day of exploring. Alternatively, you can come here to do a spot of work on the laptop, should you have to!

The bedrooms are located on the mezzanine. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, a wardrobe, night tables and lamps. The twin bedroom has two single beds, night tables and lamps. The bathroom features a wide shower box.

Throughout this apartment you will find sleek and clean interior design. Be it the black accents in the living and dining area, or the glimpses of exposed stone in the bright bedrooms, the whole apartment is stylishly furnished.

We highly recommend this charming loft apartment to a couple or a family with children.

The Location

This characteristic area is extremely strategical due to the fact that it is between Campo De Fiori and the Pantheon. Do not miss an Italian aperitivo with a nice selection of wines and a tray of French cheeses and salumi at “Beppe e i suoi Formaggi”. We also recommend you have dinner at the famous “Da Giggetto al Portico D’Ottavia”.

The Jewish Ghetto area is also within walking distance of the majority of Rome’s main sights. For example, some of the nearest include the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Venezia, and the Piazza Navona.

Just a little further will take you through to the Castel Sant’Angelo and the Vatican, or the Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish steps in the other direction.

We would highly recommend taking a midnight stroll towards the Trevi Fountain. Though marvellous during the day, under the cover of darkness it is even more magical. Not only will the crowds have thinned out, but you can also enjoy the beautiful nighttime illuminations.

This area is lively in the evenings, and has a similar atmosphere to as areas such as Trastevere. This way you can enjoy the authentic Roman atmosphere, though you will also be joined with many other tourists as it is so central.

«Superb location and a great apartment to experience living in Rome without the high cost of eating out every night.»

Bed was very noisy, kitchen could have done with few more cooking utensils (knives, ladles) and although the apartment was very nice it was a bit tired (curtains hanging down, kitchen cupboard doors need aligning, wires hanging down, clothes and rubbish in cupboards, bulbs replacing)

«Immersed in character»

The apartment is wonderfully located, within easy walking distance of so much, such as the Pantheon, but more importantly, we found, the street itself is a delight. In the morning, it has the character of a small friendly village, but in the evening it buzzes, with excellent and very popular restaurants. The apartment is compact but charming. IntenRead Moreding guests should note that the bedrooms are both mezzanines, with steep access. It would be helpful if the useful advance welcome messages received included reference to the need to pay cash on arrival. This was in the very first letter, when booked many months earlier, but we used later messages as our references and so we're not prepared. We used the excellent transfer car service offered, from station to apartment. A very historical area. I highly recommend it.

«Great location with lots of history attached»

We traveled with 2 young children. The location and organisation of the loft was very well done. Certainly being met and receiving keys was fast and efficient. Assistance with the organisation of transport (Taxi) and tour guides was a pleasant experience and much appreciated, as we were first-time visitors to Rome. The apartment/loft was cleanRead More and had all the equipment needed for a short stay. Even coffee was available. However, if traveling is done during the hot season, please be aware that there is no air conditioning and you may be required to keep your windows open, which are looking out over an inner courtyard, those can be noisy. But overall we had a fantastic time.

«A wonderful place!»

This flat is fantastic. The location cannot be beat, and the opportunity to stay in such a special and historic building is once-in-a-lifetime. The flat is cozy and perfect for a family with children - though children should be old enough to navigate the stairs. We were sad to leave!

We truly enjoyed our stay at the apartment we rented in the Jewish Ghetto. Well located, convenient to the Campo de Fiori, where we shopped daily and also is was the loft turned out to be a quick tram ride over to Trastevere, a part of town we're very fond of. Thanks to Sibilla

The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated and, although on the small side for a family of four for a long stay, it was more than adequate for 4 nights. The apartment had almost everything required - the only thing missing was a corkscrew. Free Wifi was especially useful. The location is excellent - walking distance to all the main sightsRead More - but relatively quiet. The Jewish quarter had a nice friendly atmosphere with lots of interesting restaurants on the doorstep. Thank you

We have really had good days in this apartment. We loved the ancient building, the renovated apartment, the kindness of the staff. The best is the great location, near Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Roman forum and Campidoglio, Trastevere... A nice place to visit Rome by foot. Thank you for everything.
