Your visit to Rome will be unforgettable, if you choose to stay in this truly romantic Rome terrace penthouse. On the fifth floor of a building (without a lift), surrounded by fantastic views from windows facing every direction, having a little terrace to enjoy a glass of wine in the evenings – this penthouse is the ideal choice for couples who would like to experience dolce vita in Rome!

Located in the very heart of a vibrant area of Trastevere and just next to the river, the apartment is nevertheless private and isolated from the noisy night life, as the terrace is facing the inside gardens of the surrounding buildings.

Once in the apartment, you first enter a beautifully decorated lounge area where you can relax after a long day of exploring Rome. Here you will find a comfortable sofa (on which an adult or 2 children can also sleep), a decorative fireplace, a standing floor lamp and a cozy bench with pillows, for those who prefer to relax with a book.

To your right there is also a sunny terrace with separate seating and a little table – an ideal spot for a dinner or an evening drink, overlooking the roofs of Trastevere, Gianicolo hill, and even the dome of St. Peter’s Basilica!

The bright, air-conditioned bedroom with a double bed is the best part of the terrace penthouse – with windows on three of the four walls it has a lot of light, and just imagine waking up to a picture frame of St. Peter’s Basilica, realizing it is an actual window view!

You will feel like you are sleeping above the clouds with wonderful panoramas surrounding you. There are also two sitting areas here – a wooden dining table for four and a coffee table with two chairs. On one of the walls there is a flat screen TV.

If you prefer to cook your own meals, a fully equipped kitchen is available for your use. There is a gas stove, a microwave, a fridge, a toaster, a tea kettle and all the necessary utensils and kitchenware. The bathroom has a shower cabin, a toilet with bidet, and a sink.

There is also a whole additional wardrobe room for your luggage, so if you have a special event to attend while staying in the Eternal City, you can hang your evening dress and tuxedo inside.

We highly recommend this Trilussa terrace penthouse to couples on a romantic vacation to enjoy Rome from high above!

«charming and relaxing»

Thank you for this wonderfully located and beautifully scenic apartment! Just a couple of things that may need fixing: * are the drains in the bathroom functioning properly -- perhaps they need to be cleaned out? When the sink was running water, a gurgling sound would come from the shower. When we entered the room there was the faint smell of draiRead Morens. Perhaps this could be mitigated if the skylight were easily accessible (e.g. people can open it with a hooked stick)? * a few of the lights were difficult to turn on or perhaps needed the bulbs to be changed, e.g. outside on the terrace. And a few suggestions, which you are of course perfectly free to ignore! * maybe a visitor book in the actual property would give the place a "home-like" feel, as guests can see the positive experiences enjoyed by others? * I have visited Trastevere and Piazza Trilussa many times before, so I knew what to expect. As long as people know there is always a party outside the bedroom, then that will be fine! * Apropos: is it possible to change the living room and bedroom around? If the bed was in the space near the terrace, then the noise from Piazza Trilussa and Lungotevere would be mitigated. (Just an idea.) * In my humble opinion the bookshelves where guests "take a book, leave a book" usually turn into terrible libraries full of strange languages, because the most commonly spoke languages and the best books are always taken first. (As a New Zealander, it was hilarious to see so many books by Ngaio Marsh in French!) I wondered: would it be worth investing in slightly higher-quality books, perhaps for the shelves as you go up the stairs in the entrance corridor, which would enhance the experience for guests? I'm thinking of a small book of poetry about Rome (e.g. Keats or Shelley), or a coffee table book with drawings of the city (e.g. by Piranesi or Lanciani), or a second-hand catalogue from a recent exhibition (e.g. the Palazzo Altemps, Mercati di Traiano etc.) -- with the understanding (and perhaps even a sign) saying that these books were part of the apartment and please don't take them away!? * perhaps the various rubbish bins in the kitchen could be labelled according to type of waste (cartolina, vetro, rifiuti misti etc.) so that there is the option to recycle glass, plastic, and paper? Thanks again to Lorenzo, Nissar, Azel, Nicola and company -- and apologies if I spell your names incorrectly -- it was wonderful having such attentive and responsive hosts helping us with anything we needed at very short notice, because of course circumstances are always subject to change when travelling in Italy! All the best, -- joe and shafinaz

«This is a beautiful apartment with spectacular views!»

The driver who met me at the airport was there waiting for me and a very professional, courteous driver. The gentleman who met me at the apartment, Michele, was very helpful, carried my suitcase up the five flights of stairs and explained everything to me. I had a question right after he left and I called his cell. He picked up right away and answeRead Morered my question. The apartment was clean and beautifully decorated and has fantastic views out of all sides. I really felt at home there and enjoyed my stay very much. It is a popular piazza and sometimes there were musicians on Ponte Sisto, particularly a drummer, who played loudly very late into the night. It was a little quieter if I closed the bathroom door since the skylight was open in there. The Air conditioner and wifi worked very well. Overall I really loved the apartment. The only improvement I would suggest in a new hairdryer and a better shower head. Everything else was great!

«Gorgeous apartment, amazing views, but very noisy!»

We loved the apartment, it's gorgeous! The views were incredible, breathtaking, from the lounge and the terrace. And we loved the light and brightness of the rooms. Lots of space too. The apartment was perfectly situated for access to everywhere we wanted to visit. The only downside is that it's extremely noisy at night - we got very littRead Morele sleep. But we loved it, thank you!
