This stunning historic residence was once the home of Prince Stanislaw Poniatowsky, a Polish nobleman, politician and diplomat of the eighteenth century. Emigrated to Italy, Poniatowsky fell in love with Rome and decided to make the city his home.  Therefore he commissioned the construction of his house to a famous architect of that time named Giuseppe Valadier. The residence is wonderfully located a few meters away from the Spanish Steps, at Via della Croce.

A famous family of antique dealers bumped into this very charming property (a wing of the historic residence), bought it and respectfully renovated it; in particular some of the marvellous antique frescoes have once again come alive and can be admired during your stay.

The courtyard of the building is full of history: precious Roman marble sculptures are indeed a fantastic discovery. The entrance to this Rome luxury rental apartment is located in the first floor (no elevator).

The living room features comfortable light beige sofas, armchairs, a coffee table, a Sky 42″ TV, a DVD player, and a lovely collection of DVDs. From the living room, it is possible to access a lovely private balcony with a small table and two chairs, ideal for a romantic aperitif. Internet Wi-Fi accesscentral heating and air conditioning system (2 splits in the 2 bedrooms + 1 split in the living room) are some convenient amenities of this apartment. The fully equipped kitchen has a gas stove, oven, toaster, Nespresso machine, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and all the necessary tableware and kitchenware.

There are two double bedrooms, each with a king size bed, a flat-screen TV, an en-suite bathroom, wardrobes and a safe. The larger bedroom features enchanting frescoes with warm shades, an antique Cotto floor and a Sky 42″ TV. Its en-suite bathroom has a shower box.

The smaller bedroom also has a lot of charm and  there is a 27″ TV. The en-suite bathroom features a large bathtub. Last but not least, a ravishing terrace with a wooden table, chairs and plants complete this recommended apartment. At the apartment, you will also find a small laundry room (washing/drying machine).

«Great historic apartment with every comfort in the best location in Rome. »

Very atmospheric, spacious and well equipped. Right in the action but at the same time very quiet and safe. I have been to Rome several times before but I would say that this apartment is in the best location ever.

«Great location, we\'ll be back for sure!»

Thank you very much for the hospitality, the apartment is unique and exceeded expectations. Our vacation was perfect. Nasir and the owner of the apartment could not have been more kinder than they had been. Each question was answered. If I remember correctly, the coffee machine did not work well and needed repair.

«Perfect for a family with young children »

Our fifth stay in Rome with young children (under 5). Valadier is in a perfect central location but is also quiet in the evenings. There is a bakery opposite the entrance for an early morning breakfast run and a supermarket around the corner. Several good restaurants in the local streets with outside tables make eating out easy with children. LRead Moreastly, many popular local sights are easily walkable with young children and a pushchair.

«Fantastic Apartment in a great location, very clean and well appointed.»

This very well designed apartment was perfect for our Rome vacation. The layout was well done with the two bedrooms were separated by the dining room. The beds were very comfortable and bathrooms well designed. It was the best cleaned apartment that I have stayed in. The heat was a comfortable temperature and adjustable. Internet was fast. The launRead Moredry room equipment worked well and was quiet. We were met promptly at the appointed time and given a good tour of the apartment. It is well located on a street with a small market and many restaurants. We choose to use the driver Honey for pickup and departure; I highly recommend this service. We did some cooking and the kitchen has enough dishes and cooking implements to make breakfast and snacks; this is what we did. We would plan on staying at least a week in Rome and staying here. Romelofts was very easy to deal with in booking and payments.

«Great location, nice quiet apartment, needs just a few minor updates to make it a 5 star experience»

Apartment was clean and as appeared in pictures. Check in process was simple, and car service was on time and efficient. Beds were comfortable, if a little on the hard side, and bedrooms were quiet. Bathrooms were clean and hot water was plentiful. Kitchen was workable, but not entirely equipped for cooking meals. There was no kitchen sponge or kRead Moreitchen towels, and many of the pots were missing lids. The sofa could use a good cleaning as it smelled very musty and dusty. The location and neighborhood are fantastic, with a large grocery store and two trattoria within a block, a short walk to the Spanish Steps and the Metro, and quite a few small restaurants and gelato shops nearby. The terrace was comfortable and a nice quiet spot away from the hustle of the streets. The internet worked well except for on the terrace.

«Amazing!»

The Residence was beyond our expectations because of the historic value of the apartment along with the beautiful modern design. The staff was also very efficient and helpful. We only found the late check-out expensive and we do not understood why could only be paid by cash. Thanks!

«Beautiful property in a wondeful location»

We had a lovely 3 night stay at the Valadier residence in Rome. The property oozes history, yet is decorated in a contemporary fashion which means it is a very comfortable stay in an excellent location. The residence is very spacious with 2 bedrooms, each with their own bathrooms. The kitchen was well equipped should you need to use it, and the Read Morelounge area was also very spacious and comfortable. The outside terrace area was a great place to sit during the evenings with a bottle of wine. There was also a 2nd smaller balcony overlooking the courtyard which caught the morning sun. Wifi was good and reliable and the Sky box meant there were channels in English on the TV. The frescoes on the walls and the painted wooden ceilings really made this property unique. The location is fantastic, being a short 2 minute walk to the Spanish Steps. There are plenty of shops, restaurants and a supermarket on your doorstep which is perfect after a long day sightseeing in Rome. RomeLoft staff were very helpful and friendly during check-in and we would certainly return in the future.

This apartment is extraordinary with painted wood beams supporting the ceiling and frescos in grotesque style on the walls. Overlooking a courtyard it is quiet yet is within a long stone's throw of the Piazza Spagna. The standard of facilities is very high and the supermarket is two seconds away. I will visit again.
