Location: Trastevere is an old and typically Roman neighborhood situated in the heart of Rome. The most appealing trait of the locale is its character: the popular Roman atmosphere with a cosmopolitan and modern flavor. While strolling along these tiny, medieval streets, you can palpably feel its unique athmosphere! We recommend a drink in the Piazza of Santa Maria in Trastevere, a roman lunch at the restaurant ‘Checco il carettiere‘, and an aperitif at ‘Freni e frizioni‘.

Great stay in a good accommodation. Very nice neighborhood to have food and drinks. Romeloft service was excellent. These apartments have a lot more character than a hotel.

We, 3 adults, stayed in this aprtment for 8 nights and enjoyed it very much. This apartment house is located in a VERY lively area above and around restaurants/bars. The neighborhood offers tons of restaurants, gelato, and cute little specialty shops. Walking around the city was easy and the scenery was beautiful. The apartment was very roomy with two bedrooms and two full baths (2 WC and 2 showers). The hot water was something left to be desired though as the water in the showers never seemed to get above or near lukewarm. The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking meals; complete with spices. In the back bedroom during the evening hours (11pm-2am) you could enjoy listening to the Mamma Mia cast practice harmonizing/singing in the next apartment. The restaurants do not open to serve dinner until at least 7:30pm (8pm for some); but there is a huge selection in this neighborhood to choose from- all were good.Jo , St Albans , UK
