When you first set foot into the apartment, you will see a wonderful spacious entrance space. This has a striking characteristic ceiling and three beautiful windows which overlook the internal courtyard.

This hall takes you directly to the cozy living room which features a double sofa bed, two armchairs, an antique carpet, a wooden round table with chairs, an elegant dresser, Italian designer light fixtures, a flat screen TV, a Hi-Fi system, a wireless Internet connection, and an air conditioning unit.

The flat has central heating that you can adjust to the temperature that makes you feel comfortable.

A small corridor leads you to the kitchenette and to the bathroom. The kitchenette is equipped with a gas stove, a small fridge and a microwave oven. This is a great place to prepare a quick meal or breakfast before enjoying it in the comfortable living area.

The bathroom has a large shower. A spiral staircase moreover leads you to the upper level where there is the bedroom with a queen size bed, a night table and a lamp.

The Location

This is apartment lies on a tiny street between Piazza Navona and Campo de FioriIf you like antique shops, you may be interested in the Via di Monserrato and the Via dei Banchi Vecchi. Here you will find plenty of lovely shops where you can buy authentic roman souvenirs.

The general area has many facilities, such as supermarkets, banks, post offices and pharmacies. Furthermore, you will be a great place to find some brilliant restaurants and bars.

For a truly Roman atmosphere, we recommend heading across the nearby river to Trastevere. This district also has many places offering delicious Roman and Italian cuisines, as well as many great bars for ‘aperitivo’. A particularly popular one is the hip Freni e Frizioni which lies just next to the river.

From your apartment you will be in a great place to explore the rest of Rome. This is best done on foot, and many attractions are within easy walking distance of the property. For example, you can easily access the Pantheon and Castel Sant’Angelo.

Just a little further of a walk will take you to the Piazza San Pietro, the Trevi Fountain and the Piazza del Popolo. Why not head towards the Trevi Fountain at night? This way you can avoid the intense crowds of the day as well as enjoy the night time illuminations that are simply magical.

«Beatiful Italian apartment in central Rome»

My partner, his mum and I stayed here for three nights in September. The building is old and beautiful and very Italian - we loved it!! The apartment was airy with windows that opened, and big shutters to keep the sun out during siesta. The couch folded out into a double bed and we were able to keep it out the whole time, as there was plenty of rooRead Morem and other chairs and table. The upstairs bedroom was cute and cosy, however, the staircase was a little hairy - don't have too many drinks!! But that didn't bother us too much. Most important of all was the brilliant location - we could walk to the Vatican or the other way to the Colluseum. We would definitely stay again!!

«Enjoyable, comfortable and great location»

The apartment was charming, nicely decorated and comfortable. It was in a fantastic location- close to Centro Storico, Transtavere and the Vatican. Apart from the kitchen it was spacious. I would recommend this apartment to friends - it felt like we were having a real 'roman' experience staying there.

«Look after your self experience in beautiful Centro Historico Roma»

This is a pretty little apartment that is good for a solo traveller. The bedroom is approached via a steep spiral staircase & there is no air conditioning in this small attic room. You have a small window that opens onto a courtyard from which you hear all the noises from the other apartments. The bed is two singles pushed together. The lightingRead More is good throughout the apartment. There is a sofa bed in the living room where there is air-conditioning . There is no kitchen bench space so you cannot really cook.

«Everything worked well and uncomplicated.»

The appartement was very nice and looked exactly like in the description. The bed is a little bit small, so if someone is big it might be a problem, but for us it was ok. the only thing I have to critisize is, that there was no possibility to store our baggage on the last day, although it was said there will be. The location is very good, near to SRead Moret. Peter and also near to the city centre, everything in walking distance. The appartment was clean and warm. All windows look to the inner yard, which was sometimes a little bit loud, because you could hear all the neighbors talking, which didn't matter to me, but might to someone else.

What an absolute gem of an apartment! Not for someone looking for high end luxury, but if you want to throw yourself into the charm and tradition of Rome in a beautiful loft apartment, then this is for you. Quaint and compact, with everything you need for a short stay, including a great bathroom, kitchenette, comfortable bed and sofa bed and a baRead Morelcony overlooking the courtyard. Together with lovely antique touches such as wooden shutters and exposed stone arches, this is the perfect place for a romantic get away. An amazing central location, a stones throw from the buzzing market, restaurants and bars of Campo dei Fiori, the apartment still manages to be peaceful and removed. I could not recommend Cartari studio more highly. Stay there and enjoy getting lost in the amazing city of Rome!

«The Via Cartari flat was very agreeable. Handsome, in good repair, comfortable,... »

The Via Cartari flat was very agreeable. Handsome, in good repair, comfortable, clean, with thoughtful touches and quiet. I greatly enjoyed the location, opposite the Chiesa Nuova, which allowed me to explore the neighborhoods that have come to occupy the ancient Campus Martius. The area is full of interesting attractions. Just to the south is thRead Moree Campo dei Fiori and across the river lies Trastevere. And there is a good grocery store on the Governo Vecchio the street that runs along the back of the Chiesa Nuova. A few points to consider: The flat is quiet because it turns toward the interior court of the building so there are no "views" if that is important when you are selecting a rental. The bedroom is a small loft space with a window onto the court, but air conditioning does not reach the space. In really hot weather the bedroom is not usable, however the sofa-bed in the cooled living room is comfortable and easy to deploy. A printed handout asks that you not use the air conditioning past 11:00 (23:00) because the noise disturbs other occupants, so overnight--for one-third of the day--air conditioning will not be available. However, the thermal mass of the old building is considerable and it does hold its temperature well until you are permitted to turn the air conditioning the next morning. Of course if you are booking in cooler weather, these limitations become irrelevant. All in all I found the Via Cartari flat a pleasure and a good value and will certainly consider renting it again when next in Rome. It is ideal for one person or for two who are comfortably intimate. I found the rental process at Rome Lofts worked smoothly and professionally, just the way that I had hope it would.
