The general area has many facilities, such as supermarkets, banks, post offices and pharmacies. Furthermore, you will be a great place to find some brilliant restaurants and bars.
For a truly Roman atmosphere, we recommend heading across the nearby river to Trastevere. This district also has many places offering delicious Roman and Italian cuisines, as well as many great bars for ‘aperitivo’. A particularly popular one is the hip Freni e Frizioni which lies just next to the river.
From your apartment you will be in a great place to explore the rest of Rome. This is best done on foot, and many attractions are within easy walking distance of the property. For example, you can easily access the Pantheon and Castel Sant’Angelo.
Just a little further of a walk will take you to the Piazza San Pietro, the Trevi Fountain and the Piazza del Popolo. Why not head towards the Trevi Fountain at night? This way you can avoid the intense crowds of the day as well as enjoy the night time illuminations that are simply magical.

«Beatiful Italian apartment in central Rome»
My partner, his mum and I stayed here for three nights in September. The building is old and beautiful and very Italian - we loved it!! The apartment was airy with windows that opened, and big shutters to keep the sun out during siesta. The couch folded out into a double bed and we were able to keep it out the whole time, as there was plenty of roo...Read More
«Enjoyable, comfortable and great location»
The apartment was charming, nicely decorated and comfortable. It was in a fantastic location- close to Centro Storico, Transtavere and the Vatican. Apart from the kitchen it was spacious. I would recommend this apartment to friends - it felt like we were having a real 'roman' experience staying there.

You have a small window that opens onto a courtyard from which you hear all the noises from the other apartments. The bed is two singles pushed together. The lighting...Read More

The bed is a little bit small, so if someone is big it might be a problem, but for us it was ok. the only thing I have to critisize is, that there was no possibility to store our baggage on the last day, although it was said there will be. The location is very good, near to S...Read More

The Via Cartari flat was very agreeable. Handsome, in good repair, comfortable, clean, with thoughtful touches and quiet. I greatly enjoyed the location, opposite the Chiesa Nuova, which allowed me to explore the neighborhoods that have come to occupy the ancient Campus Martius. The area is full of interesting attractions. Just to the south is th...Read More
