This Trastevere charming studio lies in one of Rome’s most characteristic districts of Trastevere, an old and typically Roman neighborhood situated in the heart of the city. It consists of intertwining tiny cobbled streets, stuffed with charming bars, restaurants and piazzas. For example, the property is just a few minutes walk from the Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere. Here you can perch on a step with a gelato in hand as you watch a stream of people wander through the area. In the evenings this area is particularly lively, as it has so many aperitivo and wine bars, perfect for sipping a drink whilst chatting the hours away.
While strolling along these tiny, medieval streets, you can feel its unique vibe! We recommend a drink in the Piazza of Santa Maria in Trastevere, a roman lunch at the café “Checco il carettiere“, and an aperitivo at “Freni e frizioni“.
At sunset, you can climb the Gianicolo hill to the Piazzale Garibaldi. This sits just behind Trastevere, and is a great place from which to watch the beautiful sunset behind the Vatican’s St Peter’s Basilica.
Simply cross the Ponte Sisto to arrive in the middle of the historical center. Here you can eat at one of the many restaurants near Piazza Navona, or stock up on local produce at Campo de’ Fiori’s morning market.
From this area you will be just minutes away from the Pantheon.
Moreover, a little longer of a walk will take you to the Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Piazza Venezia, and the Piazza del Popolo. In Rome, everything is within your reach, and the walk between attractions is often just as pretty and impressive as the monument itself!
