This stylish 3 bedroom Trastevere terrace penthouse boasts spectacular views of the Eternal City. The modern interior design of this property provides a striking contrast with the historic buildings of Trastevere. This is the perfect option for travellers wishing to experience the historic areas of Rome, while still enjoying all the comforts of a modern apartment, including wifi.
The Trastevere neighbourhood is a vibrant maze of typical restaurants, bars and small shops. Yet the apartment, located on the 3rd and top floor of the building (without a lift) allows for a private and peaceful retreat from the busy streets below.
On entering the apartment, old features meet modern design with both wooden beam ceilings and cutting-edge design elements. The living room has a sofa, arm chairs, a small desk and a flat screen TV. From this area there is access to the kitchen and 2 of the bedrooms, while a stair case leads up to the third bedroom and a beautiful terrace.
The kitchen is equipped with all modern amenities such as a dishwasher and also features carefully selected design elements such as a gorgeous chandelier, as well as having ample cooking space. There is also a table and chairs where you can enjoy meals together.
From the kitchen a second stair case leads up to an upper floor study area, a large closet with a washing machine and a bathroom with shower.
Two of the three bedrooms (all with air conditioning) are located on the main level, off the living room. Both of the rooms have double beds and are decorated in a clean, neutral style. In this same area of the apartment you will also find the main bathroom for this level, which has a shower. The third bedroom, also with a double bed, can be accessed from the staircase at the entrance of the apartment. The third bathroom, with a shower, is also located in this area.
Perhaps one of the loveliest aspects of this Trastevere terrace penthouse is the breathtaking view. On the flower-filled terrace you can sit back and relax with a glass of wine in the evening after a busy day of touring Rome, and look out over the majesty of the city below.

I was instructed by Lorenzo to call Nissar 30 minutes prior to arrival. When I called, Nissar said that yet another person would be arriving shortly to meet me. This seemed concerning to me because in all the time I have been using Airbnb, I have never been "passed off" in this way. After another 15-20 minutes, I called Nissar because no ...Read Moreone had not arrived to meet us. When he (Asel) finally arrived about 45 minutes late, his customer service skills were lacking. He was not apologetic for his tardiness and proceeded to take us up to the flat. Inside we all realized the flat had not been cleaned from the previous guests. Asel was again not apologetic or embarrassed by the fact that he had brought us up into an unclean flat and acted as if he was being inconvenienced by this. He suggested that we leave our luggage in the flat and head out to see the sights. At this point we all felt very uncomfortable leaving our belongings. Two of the guests went to grab lunch while my husband and I stayed. Asel seemed pleased to tell us the cleaning staff would arrive shortly and would finish cleaning in 1 hours’ time. This, however, increased my concern. It is a large sized flat and was left in such disarray that surely it would take more than 1 hours’ time to clean properly. After the cleaning crew had “finished cleaning” and left, we realized they had failed to empty the trash in the flat. I had read a previous review that the flat was not cleaned prior to the guest’s arrival, but I decided to give Lorenzo another chance thinking surely, he would not allow this mistake to happen again. Boy, was I wrong. The failure of the cleaning crew to clean prior to our arrival cost us to lose 1/2 a day in Rome due to remaining at the property, waiting for them to arrive and waiting for them to leave. Their failure to properly clean the flat cost us the rest of the day cleaning the flat ourselves to proper standards. We truly were not able to sleep well or settle in without disgust until the next day, and even then, we just didn’t enjoy the flat as much as we had hoped.
«Very nice apartment, we absolutely loved the roof terrace! Nice, newly renovated bathrooms and all the facilities we needed. A couple of sun chairs would have been perfect for an afternoon nap in the sun!»
One issue that is very important: I got an electric shock by touching metallic part of the stove with while leaning on the fan over the stove with my other hand! This is potentially very dangerous. Apparently the electric installations aren't done correctly. We kindly ask you to take care of this.
«We loved the apartment - it was delightful: clean, bright, well located, beautiful. We would highly recommend it.»
The apartment was everything we dreamed it would be. It had three beautiful, spotlessly clean bathrooms, three beautiful bedrooms and a spacious living room and kitchen. It was well equipped and bright. The highlight though was definitely the fantastic roof terrace where we ate our breakfast in the sunshine every morning. The location was fantastic...Read More - on a quiet backstreet but close to everything. The only thing that would have improved it would have been a dvd player. We have 3 children 8,10 and 12 and they enjoy watching a dvd in the evenings after dinner - so we used our laptop, while the fantastic large screen tv was in the living room but was no use to us as it only had Italian tv and no dvd facility. For most people this wouldn't be an issue - but we find, everywhere we go, the same thing. Great big tvs which only have local tv stations and no dvd facility. But this was only a small thing which could easily be remedied. Everything else in the flat was faultless!!!! We loved it! A bit of feedback for Rome Loft staff though - there was a 3 day cab strike when we were in Rome (which we didn't know about) and when I rang up to book a cab with Rome Lofts to take us to the Airport on our final day, I was told it was too late to book a taxi with Rome Lofts but that I could ring a local cab company 15 minutes before I wanted to travel and I would be fine. This was an appalling piece of advice. We tried to book a taxi two hours before we needed to leave and it was at this point we found out there were no cabs. We then had to take 3 trams and a train during rush hour - with 3 children and luggage - it was stressful but we made it in the end. Rome Lofts staff, if they had informed us in the morning when we spoke to them to book a cab could have told us about the strike and we would allowed far more time to get to the airport and it would have been a lot less stressful. Information is everything!
The house was absolutely beautiful, fun decor and a fantastic location, we could walk to most of the attractions we saw. The apartment was large and comfortable for our whole family. The bathrooms are modern and very clean and the bedrooms were charming. The most thing we enjoyed was the terrace! Even at the end of October, we had lovely evenings ...Read Moreon the lounge furniture and dinners on the large outdoor table. A dream holiday in a dream apartment, thanks we will return!
«Truly Wonderful Experience! »
The apartment is located on a quiet street in the center of Trastevere. The apartment was elegant and spacious and I loved how accessible everything was by foot. I particularly enjoyed being in an apartment that had modern facilities but that did not lose it's authentic italian charm. I already can't wait to be back!

I came to stay in this apartment with my family and we had a fantastic time! The place was so beautiful and clean with the most incredible views over Trastevere.
